TMA Country Navigator - Cross Cultural Training

Requirement

Cross Country elearningThis client approached us to design, create and build a variety of materials that could be added to an existing tool they had called the Country Navigator™, which enables both companies and individuals to gain and apply cultural intelligence by understanding how to successfully interact with people from different cultures. As part of the programme, TMA wanted some form of assessment to identify the user’s current knowledge.

Solution

The design of this programme aimed to replicate the effect of the learner being in a pre-recorded virtual classroom session. There were five separate topics, each guided by a mentor – who was represented as a video ‘talking head’ – to highlight key themes and foreground the subject matter. As this programme was required to complement rather than replace the existing materials in the Country Navigator™, along with the initial diagnostic test, between sessions the user was asked to undertake ‘offline’ tasks. 

One topic solely focussed on casebook-style scenarios outlining the real-world application of key issues, in which each scenario showed a dilemma or common problem particular to Indian business, and ended with a ‘prompt’ question.
